At Temple Shalom, our 10th grade students have the opportunity to develop their Jewish involvement and learning by participating in Confirmation classes and helping to lead a special Confirmation service on the Holiday of Shavuot.

Confirmation is the celebration of a teenager's ongoing commitment to Jewish life. By participating in Confirmation, 10th grade students affirm the commitments that they began at the time of  Bar or Bat Mitzvah with a maturing understanding of the values of Judaism in an engaging and interactive learning environment.

Year after year, our students find confirmation to be a unique and engaging learning experience and an important milestone in their Jewish lives.

Confirmation classes meet approximately once a month from late January-Late May, exploring topics of Jewish identity, current events and Jewish values and culminating with a special Shavuot/Confirmation Service led by our students.

At Temple Shalom, we believe that music is a fundamental part of Jewish worship and expression. Our worship services encompass the depth and breadth of a rich musical tradition, combining new synagogue compositions with more traditional musical selections. This eclectic style serves to elevate worship to its highest level and uplifts the spirit through a unique musical experience.
